Don't expect the big fall just yet... soon though

Temps in the 90s are on the WANE, as we slowly increase chances for RAIN!

Still another couple of hot days to start the week. Today will again see low 90s with partly sunny skies and a SE breeze. Clouds will be a little thicker west, with a low chance for showers or a storm well west of FTW this afternoon. There may also be a stray shower SE of Dallas in the moist Gulf flow.

A cold front will inch closer to NTX Tuesday BUT we will still be on the warm side of it. Extra cloud cover will keep highs closer to 90 and areas WEST and NW will see mostly cloudy skies and 30% coverage of showers or a storm...although nothing heavy is expected.

The forecast becomes more murky Wed and Thu. The cold front will "ooze" through. Clouds will keep highs generally in the 80s. The problem is that the upper level energy will remain in WEST TEXAS while High pressure builds in SE Texas. Most likely that will limit rain chances EAST of Dallas while areas WEST of FTW get the best opportunity to see showers. Coverage will be about 60% west Wed...and 20% east (40% Metro). Roughly 30% coverage Thu (higher west).

By Friday, the cooler drier air will be in place with just 20% showers. temps will be close to 80 by then! Actually nice!

This weekend looks dry for now with seasonable temps headed back into the mid and maybe upper 80s by Sunday.
