Dallas Weather: Triple-digit heat continues with some rain chances
Dallas Weather: Aug. 21 morning forecast
FOX 4 Weather Meteorologist Ali Turiano talks about more extreme heat and a few rain chances for the weekend.
DALLAS - There’s a chance of rain in the forecast for North Texas over the next few days. But don’t get your hopes up too high.
Friday Forecast
Friday will be another day of near-record heat with a high of 105 degrees expected. The National Weather Service has issued an Extreme Heat Warning for all of North Texas through 8 p.m.
But a northerly flow aloft will bring a couple of disturbances beginning late Friday through Saturday. Isolated storms will be possible, with lightning and gusty wind potential. The best storm chances on Friday evening will be east of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
Weekend Forecast
Overnight, another quick-moving disturbance could mean a few more storms on Saturday morning. And one more bit of energy will likely bring a couple of storms for Saturday afternoon and evening.
Unfortunately, the overall rain chance of 10-20% still means most people in North Texas will remain dry.
And the exceptionally hot weather will persist throughout the weekend with afternoon temperatures climbing well into triple digits.
7-Day Forecast
High pressure stays centered to the west through next week and the triple digit heat will remain the norm.
Northerly flow may bring a few more disturbances, bringing low rain chances starting Wednesday.
