FORT WORTH, Texas - When race fans return to the Texas Motor Speedway this spring they’ll have to leave their electronic cigarettes at home.
TMS on Tuesday announced its grandstands will be completely smoke-free beginning with the O’Reilly Auto Parts 500 doubleheader in April.
Cigarettes have been banned at the speedway since 2013. Now, e-cigarettes and vaping devices will be included in the ban.
TMS said the new policy comes “as a result of strong feedback from guest surveys and the speedway’s fan council.”
Guests will still be able to smoke in designated areas on the lower concourse.
