Reports: Dallas Cowboys release RB Joseph Randle

The turbulent tenure of RB Joseph Randle at Valley Ranch has come to an end.
Multiple media outlets reported Tuesday that the Dallas Cowboys have released Randle. Randle was in his third year with the club, but his first as the listed starting running back.
Randle was a backup last season when he first made headlines for shoplifting cologne and underwear from a department store at Stonebriar Centre in Frisco.
Randle was arrested in Wichita, Kansas during the offseason in February. Officers were called to a hotel room on a domestic violence call and Randle was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana.
Charges were eventually dropped, but it was revealed last week that Randle could face a suspension for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy for the Wichita incident.
Also last week, Randle made a call to Irving police and asked them to perform a welfare check on his girlfriend. Police found nothing wrong, but the player admitted to police he was paranoid. Cowboys officials reportedly became concerned about Randle’s emotional well-being.
Randle did not play on Sunday when Dallas hosted the Seahawks at AT&T Stadium and Randle was not at the game.
