WATCH: Adorable 8-year-old starts day in a positive way

DALLAS - How did you start your day? Hopefully it was as enthusiastically as this adorable North Texas girl.
The mother of 8-year-old Jordin Phipps submitted video of her speaking about respect, success and her goal to attend the University of North Texas.
“I will start my day in a positive way. I will be respectful with the words I say. I will pay attention and I will do my best. And I will study hard for every test. I will take advantage of what my teachers have to give. I will become a productive citizen in this world in which I live,” the future North Texas Eagle recites.
Nikki Smith explained she is a UNT graduate and her daughter hopes to also go there one day to get a degree in education.
For now she’s excelling in the third grade at Watson Technology Center in Garland ISD.
