Super Bowl 53: Most passionate celebrity fans of Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots
LOS ANGELES (FOX 11) - When the Los Angeles Rams face the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LIII, thousands will descend upon Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Hollywood will be out in full force as an LA team returns to the Super Bowl, as well as celebrity fans of Tom Brady and the Patriots.
Here's a look at the famous superfans who will be cheering alongside you on Feb. 3:
Los Angeles Rams
Los Angeles native Kendrick Lamar appeared in HBO's "Hard Knocks" at the Rams' training camp in California with fellow rapper ScHoolboyQ, wearing a Rams bucket hat and all.
The "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" star was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in 1991. After playing defensive end and linebacker for multiple NFL teams, Crews retired and pursued a career in acting -- but still makes sure to show up and flex for his favorite team.
The "Modern Family" actor called the Rams return to Los Angeles a "beautiful hallucination" during the team's first preseason game in 2016 at the Coliseum. He also invited Rams punter Johnny Hekker and defensive end Robert Quinn to the set of "Modern Family" in 2015.
The Los Angeles Lakers legend and current president of basketball operations has joined ownership groups of several pro sports teams in the L.A. area. When the Rams moved from St. Louis to Los Angeles, the team confirmed on Twitter that Johnson became the first person to put his deposit down for season tickets.
When he's not building his culinary empire, the Los Angeles native is busy being a Rams superfan. The "Machete" actor brought a taco truck to the Rams practice field to "make friends" when the team first returned to L.A.
Holly Robinson Peete
When the Los Angeles Rams defeated the New Orleans Saints in the NFC Championship, the actress posted video on Twitter of her family celebrating and congratulated the team -- which includes her brother-in-law Skip Peete.
ESPN once described the "Saturday Night Live" alum as "an exceedingly passionate, fully invested, die-hard Rams fan." Killiam has often posted on social media about his true fandom. He even wore a special Rams sweater during an appearance on "Late Night with Seth Meyers."
Red Hot Chili Peppers
The band welcomed home the Rams in 2016 with a performance at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. "Since I was a little boy, I’ve taken joy in the beauty of the Rams," Flea, the band's bassist, said in a statement. "When I moved to Los Angeles in 1972, I was getting uprooted from my home and I thought, ‘Well, where I’m going they’ve got the Rams. It’s going to be all right.'"
Morello, legendary guitarist for Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave, said he has been a Rams fan his whole life. Morello said he became a Rams fan due to his appreciaion for the Fearsome Foursome, Roman Gabriel and the team's helmets.
Rapper and Los Angeles native YG shared a post on Twitter that read, "WHO’S HOUSE? RAMS HOUSE!!!!" He even shared some choice words with President Donald Trump on Twitter when he congratulated the New England Patriots for making it to the Super Bowl.
The comedian and podcast host is another Los Angeles native and posted his excitement on Instagram after the Rams made it to Super Bowl LIII.
New England Patriots
The "Glee" star told People she's "always been a Patriots fan," despite being a New Yorker.
"Tom Brady's an incredible athlete. He will go down probably in my generation as one of the greatest athletes that I'll get to see," she told People.
The singer has stated that Patriot's QB Tom Brady is the G.O.A.T. After Brady told reporters that Timberlake was among his "man crushes," he reciprocated the love.
"I heard I made the list. Although I was a little jealous that I was so far behind Edelman, Amendola and Gronkowski.," Timberlake said in 2017 while discussing his Super Bowl LII halftime performance. "He's on my list. The feeling is reciprocated if we want to make this official."
What list of Patriot superfans would be complete without Gisele? The Brazilian supermodel who also happens to be married to the superstar quarterback often shows her team spirit at the games and on social media.
The "Hunger Games" and "Pitch Perfect" star and Massachusetts native has frequently posted about her "masshole" pride.
Another Massachusetts native, the actor is a giant Patriots supporter. Damon also narrated the NFL's video recap of Super Bowl 51 and the Patriots' 25-point comeback.
"We’re Boston fans. We're crazy. We take this stuff very seriously," he said during a 2016 appearance on the "Rich Eisen Show."
Does Marky Mark ever get sick of all the victory parades happening in Boston? No, the answer is no.
"No, it doesn't get tiring. You don't want to get spoiled. I told my kids, 'You know, this is not common where we kind of dominate at this level for this long,'" Wahlberg said on Thursday Night Football in 2018.
The U.S. Olympic gymnast grew up in Needham, Massachusetts and has often cheered for her favorite NFL team on social media. She even got into a mini Twitter battle with her Olympic teammate Simone Biles.
"The Office" actor was born and raised in the Boston area. "It’s fun to be from a place that has so much tradition and legendary sort of sports stories to tell my daughter one day very soon," Krasinski said in 2016 during an appearance on ESPN's "His and Hers."
Sometimes referred to as "the Bad Boys from Boston," Aerosmith got its start in Boston -- and the band's lead singer has performed multiple national anthems at Patriots games. One time he even wore a very sparkly Patriots scarf.
Another "Office" alum, Kaling grew up in Boston and stated that her house was in "upheaval" due to a divided cheering section.
The Medford, Massachusetts, native Maria Menounos told fans on Twitter she'd see them at the Super Bowl when the Patriots beat the Chiefs Jan. 20 in the AFC Championship game. The "die-hard Boston fan" also told ESPN's "Now or Never" that she's confident the Patriots will win on Feb. 3.
