Dralon Patterson, 34, has been charged with aggravated sexual assault.

According to police, Patterson's arrest came after a woman was in an apartment parking garage across the street from where Friday's rape happened.

A man came up to her and reportedly asked her about a club.

She told him to go away, but when he wouldn't, she called her friend who lives in the apartments where she was parked.

She went to the apartment and met with her friend, who gave her the description of the rape suspect.

The two then called police because they thought he matched that description.

Officers quickly responded to the apartment, and found a man walking nearby who started to flee when he saw police.

After a short foot chase, officers were able to take him into custody. Police said they recovered a gun on him.

Police are asking anyone with information about this crime to call Detective Holmes at (214) 671-3637.
