Pedestrian dies after being hit by several cars on I-20

DUNCANVILLE, Texas - A man was killed late Thursday night after being run over several times.

The 51-year-old Darren Johnson was found around 11:30 p.m. on westbound Interstate 20 at Camp Wisdom Road in Duncanville, in the southwestern part of Dallas County.

Dallas County sheriff’s deputies said the first driver who hit him did not stop and most of the others kept going as well. Only one driver who hit the man stopped to help, but he had already died.

All westbound lanes of the interstate were shut down for hours as deputies investigated. They have since reopened.

The Dallas County Sheriff's Department is now looking for the driver of an 18-wheeler with a flatbed trailer and the driver of a second truck with an enclosed box/van type trailer. They'd also like to anyone who may have witnessed the accident.
