2 dead in possible murder-suicide in Palmer on Christmas Day
PALMER, Texas - Police in the Ellis County city of Palmer are investigating a possible murder-suicide on Christmas Day.
What We Know: Police were called to Poinsettia Drive in Palmer around 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. A neighbor told officers they found an unresponsive man and woman with possible gunshot wounds.
When officers arrived, they found the bodies of 31-year-old Sierra Roarx of Palmer and 55-year-old Byron Olivere of Waxahachie.
Police say the two had previously been in a relationship.
Officers believe Olivere shot Roarx before shooting himself.
Grand Prairie Police confirmed to FOX 4 that Olivere was an employee with the department from 2002 to 2018. GPPD says he was last assigned as a property room technician.
What's Next: The bodies of the victims have been sent to the Dallas County Medical Examiner's Office to confirm details of the incident.
