CADDO MILLS, Texas - A North Texas man still managed to make it into work come hell or high water — literally.
Johne Ferguson normally drives to his job in Caddo Mills, but that wasn’t an option on Wednesday. The Hunt County town received more than 4 inches of water in the past two days. So instead, the dedicated worker took a kayak to work.
“I told him I needed him here for truck maintenance since we couldn’t go and do our regular job, which is underground utility contracting,” explained Jeff Nelson with JNelson Construction. “He replied with this picture and said, ‘I’m on my way boss.’”
Nelson says the 22-year-old is more dedicated to his job than most people are and is a true hardworking man.
No word yet if there’s a raise in Ferguson’s future.
