Anna police believe they’ve found the body of a man who disappeared in the area two weeks ago.

Anthony Gurley reportedly left his job at the KFC on White Street early on Sept. 18 because he said he wasn’t feeling well.  Friends said they were concerned because he didn’t have his medication for a bipolar disorder.

Patrol officers found 43-year-old Gurley’s body Tuesday morning in a field just east of the fast food restaurant. His family members were notified.

Police said it’s not yet clear how he died. The Collin County Medical Examiner will make a positive identification and determine his exact cause of death.
