The Mix is a $3 billion, 112-acre project near Dallas Parkway and Lebanon Road.
People who are familiar with the area know it was supposed to be developed a couple of years ago. But it sat empty and became an eyesore.
Now, new developers are taking over and starting the first phase of construction on 28 acres.
Frisco’s new Kaleidoscope Park opening with free events this weekend
A new park that opens in Frisco this weekend offers something different for everyone in the family.
It will have retail and office space, a high-end grocery store, two hotels, a medical office, urban living units, and part of a park that will be the center of the development.
The groundbreaking for The Mix happens at 4 p.m.

And Firefly Park at Highway 380 and the tollway will include 40 acres of trails and mixed-use development.
