A St. Lucie, Florida man thought he was texting a buddy about drugs. It turned out, though, that the person he was texting did have extensive knowledge about drugs: but he wasn't his friend, he was the captain of the Martin County Sheriff's Narcotics Unit.

The sheriff's office posted the exchange between the two on Facebook. The suspect, William Lamberson, 29, thought he was texting someone he recently met at a 7-11. First Lamberson asks for some pot, then he offers the "friend" cocaine. "Yah man. Hook a brotha up," the narcotics officer wrote.

Lamberson set up a meeting for Sept. 1 for the cocaine transaction, and instead was greeted by officers.

He was charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell.
