'F--- Trump' truck owner arrested on fraud warrant
RICHMOND, Texas (FOX 26) - The woman, at the center of a free speech debate, who drove a truck with a window decal that uses foul language to insult President Donald Trump and his supporters, has been arrested on an outstanding felony warrant for fraud, the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office has confirmed to FOX 26 News.
Information was submitted to FBCSO that there was an outstanding warrant for Karen Fonseca and deputies with the warrant division arrested her on Thursday. The warrant was issued by the Rosenberg Police Department.
Fonseca was booked into the Fort Bend County Jail with no additional details about the warrant were released. She later posted bond and was released on Thursday night.
Fort Bend County Sheriff Troy Nehls said on Wednesday that several complaints prompted him to post a picture of the truck with the obscene remarks about President Trump and people who voted for him. He had said on a Facebook post that he wanted to talk to the truck owner to try to get the message modified somehow. In that post, which has since been deleted, Sheriff Nehls had mentioned talking to a prosecutor about filing disorderly conduct charges against the then-unknown truck owner.
In a Twitter post, the ACLU responded to Sheriff Nehls by writing, "you can't prosecute speech just because it has the word "f*ck" in it."
