Woman arrested for pistol-whipping another woman in Deep Ellum

One woman is in custody and another was seriously injured after being pistol-whipped in Dallas’ Deep Ellum entertainment district.

"It was almost instantaneous. They applied tourniquets. It was a near-immediate response. Our officers did incredible work from what I understand," said Stephanie Keller Hudiburg, the Deep Ellum Foundation's executive director.

She said both an on and off-duty officer answered the call, making the response time much shorter.

The officers detained two people believed to be involved in the shooting.

Police have not released any details about those arrests.
