Daughter of slain Dallas officer supported by Dallas police on first day of school

The daughter of a Dallas officer killed during the downtown ambush shooting had a memorable first day of school thanks to some caring officers.

Lyncoln Zamarripa showed up to her first day of preschool in Aledo ISD with seven Dallas police officers in full uniform showing their support for the young girl.

Aledo ISD tweeted out a photo of the girl with the officers, calling it a “very special moment.”

Patrick Zamarripa was one of the five Dallas officers killed when a gunman opened fire during a peaceful protest against police brutality on July 7, 2016.
