Collin County shooting victim stops at Plano church for help

Police were called to a church in Plano on Thursday morning after someone showed up there saying they’d been shot.

What we know:

The call for help came in just after 6 a.m. at First United Methodist Church on East Spring Creek Parkway.

Investigators believe the victim was shot near the intersection of W. Lucas Road and Country Club Road in Lucas, another Collin County city that’s about 20 minutes east of Plano.

Canceled pursuit with Plano police ends in Dallas crash; 2 in custody

Police say the suspects were throwing unknown objects from the vehicle during the chase. It was eventually called off due to weather, but officers stumbled upon the crashed vehicle.

The shooting was related to a road rage incident, according to the Collin County Sheriff's Office

The victim suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the arm and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

What we don't know:

No other information about the victim or a suspect was released.
