Carjacking suspect crashes in Dallas

DALLAS - Police arrested a carjacking suspect after a short chase that ended with a crash in Dallas.

The suspect allegedly stole an SUV from someone in the 7200 block of Skillman Street around 7:20 a.m. Wednesday.

Officers spotted the SUV and followed it until it ran a red light and crashed at the intersection of Garland Road and Northwest Highway.

The suspect tried to get away on foot, but was quickly caught and taken into custody.

No one was hurt in the crash, but it did cause some delays for morning commuters.
