An alleged drunk driver ran a red light and caused a crash that killed a man in Dallas on Thursday night.

Erin Barrington, 22, allegedly hit four cars and motor scooter at about 6:30 p.m. before coming to a stop in the 3200 block of S. Lancaster near Interstate 35.

The man on the scooter, 32-year-old Thomas Jungerberg, died a short time later at a nearby hospital.

Friends said Jungerberg worked for the Nasher Sculpture Center and helped with summer camps and other programs at the Dallas Museum of Art.

"Tom was a joy to be around, always willing to help colleagues. He was kind and was always ready with his warm smile. He will be greatly missed," said Kimberly Daniell from the DMA.

Barrington reportedly graduated from Bishop Lynch High School where she was a standout golf player. Police said she was coming home from the Golf Club of Dallas when the accident happened.

She was treated at the hospital for minor injuries and then taken to the Lew Sterrett Justice Center. She was charged with intoxication manslaughter and released after posting her $50,000 bail.
