Will Iran retaliate on American cities? Expert weighs in.
Jason Campbell, Senior Fellow at Middle East Institute, weighs in on the US and Israel exchange strikes with Iran. BACKSTORY: Iran and Iranian-backed militias fired missiles at Israel and Arab states, apparently hitting the U.S. Embassy compound in Kuwait. In the chaos, the U.S. military said that Kuwait "mistakenly shot down" three American F-15E Strike Eagles during a combat mission. The Associated Press reported that at least 555 people have been killed in Iran so far by the U.S.-Israeli campaign, since the start of the strikes that killed Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and other senior leaders, Iranian leaders have said. President Donald Trump, who a day earlier had encouraged Iranians to "take over" their government, signaled Sunday that he was open to dialogue with Iran’s new leadership.
