Rain Chance Increases Tonight
A nice plume of tropical moisture has worked into North Texas from the Pacific Ocean along the sub-tropical jet. This will moisture will interact with an impulse of energy that will be enough to increase the rain chances for North Texas. This will mostly be a light to moderate rain event with pockets of embedded thunderstorms scattered across North Texas. Not a complete downpour, but the better thunderstorm activity looks to be focused just northeast of the metroplex where instability is the greatest. Temperatures will moderate into the mid-80s for Tuesday before our next "cool" front reels us back into the low to mid-70s for midweek.
