Awaiting the Arctic Blast!
Southerly breezes warm North Texas back above normal ahead of a potent cold front Friday night. Scattered showers and strong storms are expected. By Saturday, most of the region dries out, but a few flurries can not be ruled out near the Red River. Strong northerly winds usher in very cold air. Temperatures will drop through the day, and wind chills will be in the teens. The frigid temperatures continue Sunday, with highs only in the 30s.
