John Wayne's family continuing his legacy by helping to prevent cancer
Research has shown more than 40 percent of cancers diagnosed and nearly half of all deaths from cancer can be attributed to preventable causes -- things like smoking, being overweight, physical activity and excessive exposure to the sun. As part of National Cancer Prevention Month, the John Wayne Cancer Foundation is working to educate and support research into things that can dramatically reduce the risk of certain cancers.
