Officials at Globe Life Field confirmed on social media that the roof will remain closed for the 3 p.m. game.

That’s because scattered showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast for Dallas-Fort Worth on Friday afternoon.

According to the FOX 4 Weather team, storm coverage will increase Friday evening with some storms becoming strong to severe.

Mackenzie Gore will take the mound for Texas.
