Crews cleaning up after Wise County train derailment
A Union Pacific train hit an unoccupied train parked on a side track in Wise County on Sunday. Crews are now trying to remove the three locomotives and 15 grain cars that derailed.
CHICO, Texas - At least two people were injured in a trail collision Sunday night in Wise County, northwest of Fort Worth.
Investigators said a Union Pacific train hit an unoccupied train parked on a side track in Chico.
One of the injured people had to be flown to a hospital in the Metroplex.
Three locomotives and more than a dozen grain cars derailed.
TEXRail service restored after freight train partially derails in Fort Worth
TEXRail said its trains could not pass between the North Side Station and the Fort Worth T&P Station because of a freight train that derailed on a nearby track.
No hazardous materials were spilled.
Union Pacific is working with investigators to figure out what led to the crash.
