Two killed in reported explosion involving natural gas in Collin County
Two people were killed in a reported explosion Monday in Collin County.
The deadly incident happened at what appeared to be a natural gas facility off Highway 78 north of Farmersville.
Investigators say Atmos Energy subcontractors were doing pipeline maintenance when the blast happened.
Right now, authorities are calling it a tragic accident.
Two were killed and at least two other workers were injured and taken to local hospitals.
The subcontractors were employees with Bobcat Construction and Fesco Petroleum Engineers.
The Collin County Sheriff's Office asked the FBI to help with their investigation.
