Several cities affected by 911 outage

The 911 problems that affected several North Texas cities Friday morning are now fixed.

The emergency number was not working in northern Keller, most of Westlake, northern Southlake, and Roanoke. Calls from both landlines and cellphones were not going through.

Warren Dudley, the 911 operations chief at the Keller NetCom Center, said the outage was corrected shortly after 10 a.m. His department is in the process of notifying all residents.

Residents were encouraged to use their city’s non-emergency number to reach police and fire departments during the outage.
