After a two-year break, Mayfest returns to Trinity Park in Fort Worth this weekend.

This year, Mayfest is celebrating its 50th anniversary.

It’s one of Fort Worth’s most popular annual events, attracting 200,000 people each year. It’s also a chance for the entire community to come together for some old-fashioned fun.

The four-day family festival includes seven live music and performing arts stages, shows featuring human and animal talent, rides, activities and a tempting array of delicious food and beverages, including a beer and wine garden.

Traditions return for Mayfest's 50th anniversary

It will be sunny and warm this weekend for the 50th anniversary of Mayfest. Even after a two-year break because of the pandemic, you'll find some of your favorite attractions like the duck races and Twiggy, the water skiing squirrel.

Popular attractions like the duck races and Twiggy, the water-skiing squirrel, will also be there.

FOX 4 is marking its 15th year as a proud sponsor, and will have a booth onsite with games, prizes and a cooling station where Mayfest goers can relax and recharge their devices.

Get a Good Day koozie at Mayfest

Mayfest is back in Fort Worth after a two-year pandemic break and FOX 4 is a proud sponsor! You can see some of your favorite FOX 4 reporters and anchors and take home one of our new Good Day koozies if you visit the FOX 4 booth at the festival.

All of it spans 33 acres along the banks of the Trinity River.

Proceeds from Mayfest support Fort Worth’s Parks and Recreation Department and other community organizations including the Junior League of Fort Worth.

Gates open Thursday and Friday at 3:30 p.m. Mayfest opens at 10 a.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. on Sunday.
