KENNEDALE, Texas - The suspect in a weekend homicide reportedly turned himself in at the Kennedale Police Department on Tuesday afternoon.

Police have identified the suspect as Jackie Lee Allsbrook, who also goes by the nickname "Pokey."
Allsbrook showed up at the Kennedale Police Department on Tuesday afternoon and was taken into custody without incident, police said.
He's now facing charges of murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

What we know:
Kennedale officers responded to a shooting in progress around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday in the 1400 block of Gilman Road.
According to initial reports, 43-year-old John William Kirkland was shot by another suspect with a shotgun after a "brief altercation." His identity was released by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office.
The suspect left the scene before police arrived.
Kirkland was taken to a hospital in Arlington where he died about an hour after the shooting.
What we don't know:
The motive behind the shooting has not been released.
Police also haven't said how they connected Allsbrook to the shooting.
