Hometown Hero: 1 Million 4 Anna

The Richardson Chapter of the National Charity League has 240 members.

This year, the moms and daughters are supporting 27 local non-profits.  They spend quality time together and strengthen their bond while helping others.

When I covered their story, they were making "joke jars" and fleece blankets for "1 Million 4 Anna" to benefit North Texas pediatric cancer patients.

The National Charity League is for mothers and their daughters in grades 7 through 12. Chapters are in cities all over North Texas and the U.S.
