People protested Monday about the Arlington police officer who arrested two teenage boys.

They want answers about why Latasha Nelson’s sons were picked up and the way the officer handled the case. The family is now facing eviction from their apartment.

Police said Nelson’s 14-year-old son was arrested on suspicion of breaking into a car. Her 16-year-old son was arrested after he bumped into the officer during a heated exchange.

“I do know that they have spread more lies about the situation and they still not looking at the facts. So all I can do is just wait,” Nelson said.

She and her supporters believe the officer should be fired.

The Arlington Police Department said it is conducting an internal investigation.
