DALLAS - A 23-year-old man faces multiple felony charges following an overnight shooting in Deep Ellum that left three people injured, Dallas police said Sunday.

Demond Hardy, 23, was arrested and charged with four counts of aggravated assault involving the discharge of a firearm into an occupied building, house, or vehicle, a first-degree felony.
The shooting occurred around 1:02 a.m. in the 2900 block of Elm Street. Investigators determined that three individuals were shot during the incident. Dallas Fire-Rescue transported all three victims to a local hospital, where they were listed in stable condition.
Officers spotted a vehicle fleeing the scene at high speed shortly after the shooting. A caller inside the car later contacted 911 to report that a firearm had been accidentally discharged inside the vehicle, according to police. Officers subsequently recovered the gun and took Hardy into custody.
No officers were injured. The investigation is ongoing
