Police shooting at Sam's Club in Burleson
Multiple agencies responded to an officer-involved shooting in Burleson on Monday night. Witnesses say an officer from an unknown agency was shot in the leg during the incident. FOX 4's Peyton Yager has more.
BURLESON, Texas - Cleburne Police confirmed one of their officers was shot after an incident near a Sam's Club in Burleson. Multiple agencies are currently responding to the incident.

What we know:
On Monday, Aug. 24, at around 6:50, Cleburne Police responded to reports of an individual brandishing a firearm who was in a vehicle.
When officers arrived at the scene, a pursuit ensued, which led officers through Alvarado and ended near a Sam's Club in Burleson at I-35 and Burleson Boulevard.
Shots were fired, and the individual was shot and killed during the incident.
One Cleburne police officer was shot in the leg during the incident. The officer was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
Burleson Police, the Johnson County Sheriff's Office, the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office and the Texas Department of Public Safety have also responded to the incident.
Police say there is no threat to the public at this time, and are asking the public to avoid the area while they continue their investigation.

The condition of the officer who was shot is unknown.
The details that led to the initial pursuit are unknown, and we don't know the name of the individual shot and killed by Cleburne Police.

"It was a scary moment," Michael Anthony Garcia, who witnessed the shooting, told FOX 4's Peyton Yager. "I hadn't witnessed anything like that. I was caught in the middle."
