Bedford woman sentenced to decades in prison after human trafficking conviction

A Bedford woman will spend decades in prison after police discovered a prostitution ring being run out of her massage business.

What we know:

A Tarrant County jury sentenced 47-year-old Fujun Zhu to 25 years in prison after she engaged in human trafficking at her massage business.

Bedford Police had been investigating Zhu's massage business since 2023, where they discovered prostitution being conducted. Women were reported to be locked inside the business at night.

From 2023 to 2024, Bedford closed three of Zhu's businesses.

In 2024, a victim reported to police that she had agreed to work at Zhu's massage business once it opened.

Zhu then took the victim's passport and all identification, telling them she would be required to perform sexual acts on customers.
