AMBER Alert: 12-year-old found safe; suspect charged, vehicle located

The Travis County Sheriff's Office says the 12-year-old girl at the center of an AMBER Alert has been found safe.

A suspect involved in the alert has been charged and is in the Travis County Jail.

The backstory:

12-year-old Jazzlyn Anzora was last seen around midnight Feb. 24, in the 1700 block of Wells Branch Parkway.

She has brown eyes and black hair, weighs about 140 lbs and is about 5'3".

She was last seen wearing a red sweater, a white long-sleeve shirt, and Christmas-themed pants, and was carrying a Nike backpack.

Henry Mejia was named in the alert and authorities were looking for him as well as a red 2017 Ford Mustang with the TX license plate number VVK2712.

Details about how and where Mejia and the vehicle were found have not been released at this time.

Jail records show that Mejia is actually 20 years old and has been charged with harboring a runaway, a Class A misdemeanor.

The Source: Information in this report comes from Texas DPS and the Travis County Sheriff's Office, as well as Travis County jail records. A previous version of this story identified Henry Mejia as 18 years old. Authorities have corrected this to say he is actually 20 years old.
