FIFA World Cup volunteer applications open for Dallas
YOU can be a part of the FIFA World Cup next year! Nina Vaca with the organizing committee joined Good Day to tell viewers how they can apply and what kind of positions are available.
DALLAS - Applications to volunteer for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be held in North Texas, are set to open on Monday.
What we know:
FIFA needs about 6,000 volunteers for events in the Dallas area.
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old, speak English, and commit to working eight shifts throughout the tournament, including practices.
But that shouldn't be too much of an ask considering it's a once in a lifetime opportunity.
What they're saying:
"We are looking for anyone, FIFA fans, North Texas soccer fans. We are looking for anyone who wants a once in a lifetime opportunity. You must be 18 to happy, work eight different shifts. But it's for anyone who wants to feel the magic of the World Cup coming to the North Texas region," said Nina Vaca, the co-chair for the North Texas FWC Organizing Committee.
