All's quiet as we head toward "Meteorological Winter" this week! No signs of winter in THIS forecast!
South winds have increased overnight and will be quite gusty (25mph+) and mild today. Aside from some low clouds SW this morning, we should be mostly sunny with highs again well into the 70s area wide.
A cold front heads in tonight, but most of the "LIFT" stays north into Oklahoma, so rain chances are minimal...only 10%. We will see a brief period of clouds as the front heads in and winds shift to the NW.
Wednesday starts with some clouds but skies should turn partly to mostly sunny...the exception being areas north and NE where clouds may hold longer. Highs should drop back into the 60s which is still above the "average" for late November.
Thursday and Friday will both see some jet stream level clouds (partly to mostly sunny) and temps running about 5 degrees above average in the mid 60s. Even with another weak front Thursday and some gusty winds...it just doesn't look cold.
By the weekend, south winds return. That means temps back into the 70s. More sun Saturday..a few more clouds Sunday.
Stronger south winds invade Monday with warmer 70s continuing. Clouds will increase ahead of a cold front with some low end shower chances (20%).
After Monday, there is a little too much atmospheric uncertainty right now over whether we stay warm and get storms...or whether colder, drier air takes over. We always say "more than 7 days is an unusable forecast" and there is a reason for that!
