Dallas Weather: Aug. 24 morning forecast
FOX 4 Weather Meteorologist Ali Turiano gives an update on another week of extreme heat and elevated fire risks.
DALLAS - The unrelenting heat and low rain chances will be the story for the week.
Near record-breaking heat is expected on Monday, with temperatures dropping just a bit as the week goes on.
Monday Forecast
The National Weather Service has issued another Extreme Heat Warning for all of North Texas with temperatures up to 110 degrees and a heat index value up to 112 degrees.
People should limit their time outdoors, especially between the hours of 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
The breezy conditions also mean there is an elevated fire threat on Monday.
7-Day Forecast
High pressure to our west brings northwest flow disturbances over the next few days. Rain and storm chances will still remain low.
This ridge of high pressure heads eastward by the weekend, which dries us out and keeps triple digits in place.
