Former Uvalde officer on trial for child endangerment
Lawyers are selecting jurors in the criminal trial for a former officer charged in the slow law enforcement response to the Uvalde school mass shooting. Prosecutors say Adrian Gonzales ignored his training and failed to act when a teenage gunman opened fire, killing 19 students and 2 teachers. Gonzales pleaded not guilty to child abandonment and child endangerment charges.
