Some educators struggling with new critical race theory law
Some school districts are struggling to interpret a new state law meant to keep critical race theory out of schools. Critical race theory maintains that racism is part of American society. One law that takes effect in December will require teachers to provide other views when discussing controversial social events in history. Another that took effect in September says teachers cannot give deference to one side when talking about controversial historical , social or political issues.
