South Carolina is extending a helping hand to the Lone Star State with border patrol. Governor Henry McMaster, in a statement, says South Carolina will send a helicopter and nine members of the state's Army National Guard to South Texas on Saturday, May 19, 2018.  The governor says the crew along with a UH-72A Lakota helicopter can be used to assist with surveillance. McMaster says South Carolina will also send a second crew next month.
