ARLINGTON - Arlington police have identified the officer who shot and killed O’Shae Terry during a traffic stop on last month.

Body camera video shows Officer Bau Tran questioning Terry and a person inside an SUV on September 1st.

Police said Tran pulled the trigger as Terry attempted to drive away from a traffic stop.

Tran was a backup officer during the stop, which was made by officer Julie Herlihy, police said.

Police said the officers later found drugs and a gun inside the vehicle.

Both officers have been reassigned to other duties.

The department is still investigating.

The Tarrant County District Attorney's Office will decide what happens next.
