Police identify man killed in Dallas triple shooting

Police have identified the 37-year-old man killed during a shooting outside a Dallas strip shopping center Wednesday afternoon.

The shooting happened just before 2:40 p.m., in the 11700 block of Ferguson Rd.

When officer arrived at the scene, they found three people with gunshot wounds.

James Babers was shot multiple times, and later pronounced dead at the hospital. The two other victims remain hospitalized at area hospitals, according to police.

The investigation found that there were three people in the parking lot outside the shopping center, when Babers got into a fight with another man.

A fourth man then walked up, pulled out a gun, and shot into the crowd of people.

Police do not have a good description of the gunman or the black vehicle he left in.
