Police clear scene, set news conference in search for boy

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) — Authorities have left the various scenes where they were searching for a 5-year-old Pennsylvania boy with autism, and have called a news conference.

Allentown Mayor Ed Pawlowski, police Chief Keith Morris, and Lehigh County Coroner Scott Grim announced the Saturday news conference after a searcher found a tablet computer similar to one police believe Jayliel Vega Batista may have been carrying when he left a relative's home without shoes or a coat Thursday night.

Police called in a dive team, and ambulance, and the coroner shortly after The Allentown Morning Call said the tablet was found in the water at Allentown's Canal Park early Saturday afternoon.
