There was confusion and finger pointing over a planned Anti-Muslim protest in front of a South Dallas Mosque, Sunday morning.

The Bureau of American Islamic Relations says there was an agreement to postpone it, but other groups showed up armed anyway.

The Huey P. Newton Gun Club, New Black Panther Party, and The Nation of Islam joined forces in solidarity against the protesters.

The groups claim they want to only monitor and observe, not stop the protest. But the BAIR protesters were a no-show.

A spokesperson for the group says the decision to postpone was made by leadership parties.

The Anti-Islamic group has made an agreement with the Dallas Police Department and Nation of Islam to postpone its protest until all parties involved have met for a discussion.

While The Nation of Islam says it was aware BAIR wasn’t showing up, others say they weren’t.

BAIR members say all they care about is stopping the violence, particularly incidents targeting uniformed officers.
