DALLAS - Dallas police are trying to find the mother of a newborn baby who was abandoned near a dumpster over the weekend.
Police said a woman found the baby around 9:30 p.m. Saturday as she taking out the trash in the 5900 block of Watership Lane. The baby was lying in the grass next to the dumpster.
The woman and her husband took the baby to a nearby hospital. The newborn was then transferred to Children’s Medical Center and is reportedly doing fine, police said.
Investigators are still looking for the child’s mother. Anyone with information should contact the Dallas Police Department.
