MacArthur High School in Irving was evacuated Wednesday morning because of a bomb threat.

Officials said someone called the school at about 9:45 a.m. and said there was a bomb on campus that would explode in 30 minutes.

Students were taken a safe distance away while police search each building. But officers found nothing suspicious and gave the "all clear" around 10:45 a.m.

Police are now treating the call as a hoax and will continue to investigate.

Some parents chose to pick up their children after getting a text alert about the evacuation.

One mother told FOX 4 she didn't feel comfortable leaving her child there because she wasn't getting enough information from the district.
