Severe weather damage at Walmart distribution center
The first calls of a tornado rotation were received at 5:25 p.m. with the first reports of damage within minutes. A 45- to 50-foot hole was reported in the roof of the Walmart Distribution Center. No injuries were reported and all employees were dismissed to go home. Across the freeway at Sanger/Denton North KOA at McClain’s Longhorn RV, damages were reported to RVs with one individual sent to Denton Presbyterian Hospital with critical injuries.

Weather Damage
Denton County Emergency Management officials told FOX 4 that they received the first calls of a tornado rotation at 5:25 p.m. with the first reports of damage within minutes.
A 45 to 50 foot hole was reported in the roof of the Walmart Distribution Center on N. Stemmons Street in Sanger, according to Denton County officials.
FOX 4 crews also saw overturned semis were also spotted in the parking lot.
"We are still assessing the situation and our building is currently closed. We are thankful for first responders," a Walmart spokesperson told FOX 4.
No injuries were reported at the distribution center, and all employees were dismissed to go home.
A warehouse next to the distribution center also sustained damage.

Across the freeway at Sanger/Denton North KOA at McClain’s Longhorn RV, damages were reported to RVs with one individual sent to Denton Presbyterian Hospital with critical injuries.
Three 18-wheel semi-tractor trailers were overturned on northbound Interstate 35E, south of Sanger at Ganzer Road with all vehicle traffic shut down.
The Denton County Office of Emergency Management activated their Emergency Operations Center and has sent the Goliath mobile communications command center to the City of Sanger to support operations.

Recorded wind gusts topped 70 miles per hour in some areas on Sunday night.
Denton saw winds as high as 71 miles per hour.

Scattered storms and strong winds are expected in North Texas on Sunday afternoon and evening.
Timeline:
Early morning saw mostly sunny skies, but winds are forecast to ramp up to 20 mph, with gusts up to 50 mph possible during late-day storms. The entire region has been placed under a Level 1 marginal risk by the Storm Prediction Center, meaning a few stronger storms could produce gusty winds, quarter-sized hail, brief heavy rain, and frequent lightning.
The greatest chance for showers and storms is for areas north and northwest of Dallas, where they are expected to develop after 3 or 4 p.m. before shifting south and southeast. Showers and lingering clouds are expected to taper off before midnight.

Temperatures are expected to reach the mid-80s on Sunday before climbing back into the mid-90s by Monday afternoon. A more widespread chance for showers and storms is predicted for Tuesday evening and Tuesday night as a fall front is expected to move in. That front will bring more seasonable temperatures that could continue through the first part of next weekend.
