Cowboys fans gather at The Star for Jerry's big day
Dallas Cowboys fans gathered at The Star in Frisco, Saturday to watch the owner of their favorite team become a member of the NFL Hall of Fame.
"What better honor could you have than having the owner of your team inducted into the Hall of Fame?” said Kim Edwards.
Edwards also toured AT&T Stadium Saturday before heading over to The Star.
She's thanking Jerry Jones for how far he's brought the franchise since purchasing it for $140 million in 1989.
"I think they've always been America's Team, I think he's just maintained that, and maybe probably increased that," she said.
Victor Cruz agrees, “"He's a football man and now he's pro football hall of fame. Can’t stop him now. Got the gold jacket. Very proud of him."
Even young fans, like 11-year-old Dylan Rhone turned up for the big event, "Jerry Jones, he's a pretty good owner. He's been right with his money. He's been fair to every player that he's had and all the coaches have been pretty good to him."
"I've heard some negative things said about his football savvy, but I really think he has made some good moves this year," said Victor Cruz.
And Jerry Jones isn't going to stop making moves.
"You have a professional sports franchise that is a landmark. You know, it's the Packers, it's the Yankees, it's the Cowboys. So, you know, he's just taken this Tex Schramm idea and taken it to a whole new level and God bless him for it. He deserves to be in the hall of fame,” said Glenn Urbach.
