Car lands feet away from couple's bed after crash

DALLAS - A car crashed into a home in Far North Dallas nearly hitting a couple inside.

It happened around 12:30 a.m. Thursday. A driver apparently lost control and went through two yards before running into the house near McCallum Boulevard and Hillcrest Road.

The couple was in bed at the time. They were shaken but not hurt.

“I heard a smash and I was scared to jump out of bed. Next thing I heard was water coming out. I ran to the door and we see a car inside our house,” Harold Wolf said.

The man ran away but left his ID behind. Police believe they will be able to track him down.

The home sustained major damage. After the car was removed, firefighters called in help to make sure the couple’s bedroom would not collapse.
